Captain
Larry Cabness grew up fishing in the Sargent area and has over forty
years experience on the waters of East Matagorda Bay. Capt. Larry is USCG and
TP&W licensed, and is a member of the Coastal Conservation Association. His
goal is to insure that his clients experience a true coastal adventure and take
in the beauty and enjoy the wildlife of the area, as well as catching Trout, Redfish,
and Flounder. East Matagorda Bay has been called the Jewel of the Gulf Coast and
has a reputation for being the home of some of the finest trophy trout on the
Texas Gulf Coast. |

Coastal Adventures
offers its clients a variety of activities, including wade fishing, drift fishing,
poling for redfish on serene flats, birding trips, and fishing instruction for
newcomers to the art of salt water fishing. Whether it's a group of friends,
business clients, corporate cronies, a family outing, or just an itch to go fish,
Capt. Larry can provide a fun filled, safe, saltwater adventure on one of the
most beautiful and pristine bays on the entire coast.
Captain Larry operates
an 18ft Custom Flats tunnel hull boat, perfect for maneuvering the shallow waters
of Matagorda bay and surrounding back lakes where the trophies escape the traffic
of the open waters. |
$ 400.00 per day (1-3 persons per
boat - 4 persons if wading)
(1/2 day trips available @ $250.00 )**
**Due
to escalating fuel prices, Rates subject to change.
Full day trip will include 8 hour guided fishing trip with USCG
licensed guide,
all artificial lures, fuel and ice. Fishermen provide beverages,
lunches, rods & reels.
Additional costs for either type trip: · Ice after trip
· Live bait $ 15.00 per qt.
All fishermen will be required to have a valid Texas fishing
license with salt water stamp.

We suggest you plan for your trip and bring the following:
- Good sun glasses, a hat, sunscreen
- A jacket for cool mornings, light colored clothes for the afternoon - Appropriate
wade fishing gear - Water, soda, a light lunch, munchies - A camera for
